About Laura M. D'Orsi
Laura D'Orsi is an experienced matrimonial practitioner with over 19 years experience as an attorney, and 8 years experience in the matrimonial field. Ms. D'Orsi has assisted hundreds of clients in divorce matters, and has helped clients resolve issues of child custody, relocation, alimony, child support and the division of marital assets. Ms. D'Orsi has also represented same sex couples in the dissolution of civil unions and unmarried couples in resolving issues related to their children and relationships. Ms. D'Orsi has represented clients in post-judgment matrimonial matters. Ms. D'Orsi represents individuals in courts throughout the state and also works with couples in resolving their cases through collaborative divorce and mediation.
Ms. D'Orsi is also a member of the International Association of Collaborative Practitioners.
Ms. D'Orsi has taken courses in mediation and has been recognized as a Certified Mediator by the State of New Jersey Administrative Office of the Courts.
Previously, Ms. D'Orsi served as an Early Settlement Panelist in Essex County for many years.
Ms. D'Orsi graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Foreign Relations and Emory University School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate. After graduating from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia, Ms. D'Orsi worked at the Washington, D.C. law firm Reid & Priest, before returning to New Jersey. Ms. D'Orsi worked with a prominent boutique matrimonial law firm in Northern New Jersey before relocating to Monmouth County. Ms. D'Orsi was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar in 1990 and the New York State Bar in 1991. Ms. D'Orsi was a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Work/Life Balance Task Force in 2008-2009
